Dedicated VR modPCVRExcellentActive

A mod added to the existing PC game to enable VR. A dedicated VR mod built for this one game. These are normally the best experiences, because controls, menus and comfort were designed for VR rather than injected.

Setup notes

Supported game builds and runtime

X4 VR v0.6.0 targets the Windows 10/11 64-bit Steam game at versions 8.00 or 9.00. SteamVR/OpenVR is the default runtime; direct OpenXR is experimental. The creator's test setup is Windows 11, X4 9.00, Varjo Aero and RTX 3090. Quest over Virtual Desktop is a user report, not developer hardware validation. Steam Link may show right-eye jitter unless the launcher option is enabled.

Security notice

The project notes antivirus detections and describes its build process. PCVR Central has not independently verified the executable; do not infer that a security alert is harmless or disable security software. Follow the project's release instructions and obtain files only from the linked creator repository.

Player reviews

Player opinion, separate from the quality label above. That label is our reading of what a method does; these are other people's experience of actually running it.

Spotted a problem, or played this yourself?

Freshness depends on reports from people who actually ran it.
