Dedicated VR modPCVRExperimentalActive

A mod added to the existing PC game to enable VR. A dedicated VR mod built for this one game. These are normally the best experiences, because controls, menus and comfort were designed for VR rather than injected.

Setup notes

Early public release

RDRVR v0.8.11 targets the 2024 PC port of Red Dead Redemption. It requires the separate RedHook v0.8 dependency, which the mod does not include. Follow the current creator README and releases for installation and runtime setup.

VR compatibility and completion

The project documents stereo, 6DoF head/hand tracking, body/arms and physical firearm handling/reloading. The README lists Quest 3 through Virtual Desktop as tested and says other OpenXR PC headsets should work, but broader testing is not documented. This is an early public release; full campaign completion is unverified. PCVR Central has not tested it.

Player reviews

Player opinion, separate from the quality label above. That label is our reading of what a method does; these are other people's experience of actually running it.

Spotted a problem, or played this yourself?

Freshness depends on reports from people who actually ran it.
