UEVR profilePCVRExcellent

A reusable framework or injector that adds VR support to one or more games. A community profile for UEVR, the universal injector for Unreal Engine games. You install UEVR once, then load this profile to play this game in VR.

Notes from markmon

Here is a first person profile with fix for DX12 crashing on shifting powers. DX12 does seem to perform better when using resolution scaling option in the menus so you can enable it now. If you prefer not to play in first person, you can delete the uobjecthooks folder in the profile after importing. The first person camera stuff can be cleaned up a little bit more in the future. If anyone does this before I do, feel free to send me the changed objecthooks and I'll update the profile. I cleaned up the first person stuff a bit and also reworked the cinema detection into a method I think will be more reliable, although the old one seemed to be working ok, this one should be more reliable. I also sharpened the image up, set a gamma for using native rendering.

Installing a UEVR profile

Every community UEVR profile installs the same way. If you have used one, you have used them all.

  1. Install UEVR itself from uevr.io. It is free, and it is a separate program from the profile: the profile is just settings.
  2. Download the profile from the creator's page linked above. It is a .zip.
  3. Start the game, then open the UEVR frontend and select the game's process from the list.
  4. Import the profile with the frontend's import option. UEVR keeps per-game settings in %APPDATA%\UnrealVRMod\<game executable name>.
  5. Inject. Once you are in VR, press Insert (or L3+R3 on a controller) to open the in-game menu and adjust anything that looks wrong.

If a profile misbehaves, delete that game's folder under %APPDATA%\UnrealVRMod\ and import it again from scratch.

Player reviews

Player opinion, separate from the quality label above. That label is our reading of what a method does; these are other people's experience of actually running it.

Spotted a problem, or played this yourself?

Freshness depends on reports from people who actually ran it.
