GridLegendsVR / CodiesVR
for GRID Legends · by drowhunter · released 21 Oct 2026
A mod added to the existing PC game to enable VR. A dedicated VR mod built for this one game. These are normally the best experiences, because controls, menus and comfort were designed for VR rather than injected.

Community research
The released v0.6.0 package adds true OpenXR cockpit stereo/head tracking to GRID Legends, but alternating-eye rendering limits per-eye update rate and hardware coverage is narrow; experimental.
Evidence checked: Creator README and v0.6.0 release checked; docs state OpenXR/D3D12 requirement, Steam game, and alternating eye behavior.
Known limitations
- Alternating-eye stereo means each eye updates at half the game’s frame rate; performance/clarity tradeoff is inherent in the documented mode.
- Requires a D3D12-capable OpenXR runtime; Virtual Desktop was development target, not a broad hardware test.
- No full-campaign or independent performance evidence found.
