GTA4VR
for Grand Theft Auto IV · by bordplate · released 10 Oct 2026
A mod added to the existing PC game to enable VR. A dedicated VR mod built for this one game. These are normally the best experiences, because controls, menus and comfort were designed for VR rather than injected.

Experimental build and prerequisites
GTA4VR v0.3.1 supports Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition build 1.2.0.59 on Windows using the project's DXVK/Vulkan path. Set SteamVR as the active OpenXR runtime. Only Vive Pro with Vive Wands at 90 Hz is listed as developer-tested.
Gameplay and limitations
The mod adds stereo, 6DoF head tracking, tracked arms/hands, physical weapon handling and reloads. The maintainer has not verified a complete mission-by-mission campaign playthrough. Minigames are unsupported, some pickups can fail, and dense scenes may not sustain headset refresh rate. This entry is experimental, not a claim of full-game compatibility.
