for Dungeon Keeper · by mathimus-design · released 9 Oct 2026

Dedicated VR modPCVRActive

A mod added to the existing PC game to enable VR. A dedicated VR mod built for this one game. These are normally the best experiences, because controls, menus and comfort were designed for VR rather than injected.

Unofficial test build

KeeperFX VR test build 9 is an unofficial VR build on a separate branch, not an official KeeperFX release. It requires the player's own Dungeon Keeper game files, Windows, a PCVR headset and a current KeeperFX install with its alpha patch. Follow the release's README-VR.txt for installation, controls and troubleshooting.

VR and compatibility

The dungeon is presented as a tabletop. The VR hand acts as the Keeper's hand, with creature possession for life-size play. The project lists Quest over Virtual Desktop and Index over SteamVR as tested; Quest Link/Air Link is described only as something that should work. Windows may warn because the test build is unsigned. PCVR Central has not run it.

Player reviews

Player opinion, separate from the quality label above. That label is our reading of what a method does; these are other people's experience of actually running it.

Spotted a problem, or played this yourself?

Freshness depends on reports from people who actually ran it.
