Dedicated VR modPCVRExcellentActive

A mod added to the existing PC game to enable VR. A dedicated VR mod built for this one game. These are normally the best experiences, because controls, menus and comfort were designed for VR rather than injected.

Setup notes

Game build and installation

The current Nexus release is DS2VR v1.0.6. It supports the Windows 64-bit Steam edition of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin only. It does not support the original release, console versions or unsupported executable revisions. Install the supplied dinput8.dll next to DarkSoulsII.exe and play offline.

VR input and limits

The mod adds stereo, 6DoF head tracking, tracked hands/weapons and physical combat. The game still determines stamina, damage, timing and whether attacks connect. Optional DLSS/FSR and Neural Rendering are project features; their performance is not guaranteed across GPUs. The RTX 4090/Quest 3 report is one submitter's setup, not a benchmark. PCVR Central has not hardware-tested the mod.

Player reviews

Player opinion, separate from the quality label above. That label is our reading of what a method does; these are other people's experience of actually running it.

Spotted a problem, or played this yourself?

Freshness depends on reports from people who actually ran it.
