Unreal Gold with a separate VR launch
Unreal Revived modernizes the Windows version of Unreal Gold and adds native OpenXR stereo VR and head tracking. The installer creates separate Unreal Revived and Unreal Revived VR shortcuts. The same installation includes the Unreal and Return to Na Pali campaigns.
Game files and installation
This project does not include Unreal Gold's original maps, textures, music or other game files. Choose an existing Unreal Gold installation, or obtain and install the original files with the official OldUnreal full-game installer. Unreal Revived makes a separate copy and leaves the source installation untouched.
VR controls and compatibility
The 0.9.0 release adds standing play, automatic HUD positioning, recentering, turning modes and adjustable render-quality presets. Movement is gaze-aligned gamepad input; right-stick turning is available. Tracked motion-controller aiming is not documented. The creator reports OpenXR VR validation on Oculus Rift CV1. Broader headset, runtime and gameplay coverage remains ongoing, and PCVR Central has not tested the release.
Release
Use the creator's 0.9.0 Windows installer. It creates the separate desktop and VR shortcuts. The author publishes a SHA-256 checksum with the release. Quality remains unrated.
