The public v0.4 build adds stereo and 6DoF head tracking, but the latest SnowRunner patch broke compatibility, requiring a Steam rollback; reprojection artifacts and platform/controller limits justify experimental.
Prove controllate: Creator README and v0.4 release checked; open issues #8–#10 reviewed, including the 2026-10-20 game update regression and tested rollback manifest.
Limitazioni note
- Open issue #9 reports SnowRunner update build 25529130 (2026-10-20) broke compatibility; a Steam rollback to 2026-09-02 manifest 1449554457427833257 was the reported workaround.
- Quest 3 is the only named headset tested. Linux/Proton issue #10 reports judder; PSVR2 Sense controllers are not forwarded per issue #8.
- AER/reprojection can leave offsets on trucks/trailers and make cockpit motion feel lower-frame-rate; FXAA only is supported.
